A new leadership to pilot the affairs of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), Hospitals’ Management Board/ Ministry of Health Chapter Bayelsa State has emerged.
The election held at the State Public Health Laboratory produced the followings as the chapter executives: MLS. Tonbra Alabrah as Chairperson, MLS. Silver Godwin as Secretary, MLS Isaac Mensah as Publicity Secretary, MLS. Aruzi Kingdom as financial secretary, MLS. Komonibo Victoria as welfare.

In her inaugural speech, the newly elected chairperson, MLS. Alabrah thanked the electoral umpire for the conduct of a successful electoral process. She promised not to betray the confidence reposed in her, stressing that the new leadership will organize programmes that will develop members professional among other things.
On his part, the immediate past Chairman of the association, MLS. Osakwe Ebiye thanked the association for the opportunity to serve, even as he advised the new leadership to work together as a team for the betterment of the association.

He also advised the new leadership to operate an open door policy to ensure that all members of the chapter are carried along in the activities of the chapter. Barrister Omietimi G. Kpukpu of Agorodi chamber administered the oath of office to the newly elected executive.
The election was observed by the Publicity Secretary of AMLSN Bayelsa State Branch, MLS. Igri Ofor who commended electorates for a hitchfree election.
