Immediate past President of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) Alhaji Toyosi Raheem has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis entitled ‘mycobacteriosis and mechanisms of multi-drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis from Patients in Lagos Nigeria: Roles of Efflux Genes and Chemosensitizers‘ with an award of a distinction grade.
The highly elated TYR as he is fondly called took to WhatsApp to share the goodnews with fellow scientists as well as express his joy.

After convincing the panelists led by Prof. OA Coker formerly of College of Medicine of University of Lagos as External Examiner, and 5 other Professors from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, I successfully defended my PhD Thesis titled Mycobacteriosis and Mechanisms of Multi drug Resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis from Patients in Lagos Nigeria: Roles of Efflux Genes and Chemosensitizers.
The defence lasted 2hrs 10minutes-130 minutes from 10.55 am to 1.05 pm.
At the the end of the assessment, the eminent professors on the Panel unanimously awarded my thesis and its defence a distinction grade!
