COVID-19: The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) has been honored with an award.

The Award was conferred on MLSCN by the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) Federal Capital Territory Branch in recognition of the regulatory body’s contributions toward the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Registrar/CEO himself Dr. Tosan Erhabor received the Award on behalf of the Management and staff of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

You may recall that virtually all the Rapid Test Kits that were imported into the country for the screening of COVID-19 were first validated by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria to ensure their sensitivity and specificity before being allowed for use in Nigeria. Read here

This MLSCN was able to successfully implement it following her collaboration with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the Federal Ministry of Health.
