The Forum of AMLSN Chapter Chairmen and Secretaries (FACCS) has held its maiden workshop.
The workshop was held at the AMLSN House Plot 672, Cadastral Zone Durumi Phase 1, Abuja.
Mr. Soji Billyrose, the AMLSN National Publicity Secretary, delivered a compelling presentation on “The Role of Chapter Leaders in Building a Functional AMLSN.”
Emphasizing the pivotal role of leadership quality at the chapter level, Mr. Billyrose envisioned a stronger national AMLSN if the leaders implemented the strategies discussed in the workshop.
Billyrose noted that the Association’s strength lies in the credibility of its leadership at the chapter levels, stressing that a formidable national AMLSN is contingent upon the active involvement and commitment of chapter Chairmen and Secretaries.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Office of Labcrest Laboratories Ltd urged chapters to emulate the vision of an ideal AMLSN across the country, advocating for excellence, competence, and the defense of professional boundaries.
He underscored the importance of adequate support for both branch and national levels by Chapters.
On his part, Dr. Okechukwu Ironkwe, CEO of Atlas Medical Centre and Branch Chairman of AMLSN FCT Branch, presented on “Adapting Successful Innovations in the Private Sector for Improved Services in AMLSN.”
Represented by his assistant, Jude Eze, Dr. Ironkwe highlighted the need to incorporate successful private sector innovations into the association’s practices.
The workshop drew a full house of chapter leaders from across the nation who had gathered for the AMLSN 59th Annual Scientific Conference and Triannual Delegate Election, scheduled from the 17th to the 19th of November 2023 in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange, strategic discussions, and the collective commitment to elevate AMLSN to new heights.
