AMLSN Bayelsa State elects new executives

It is a new dawn as Medical Laboratory Scientists in Bayelsa State have elected a  new crop of executive officers who will pilot the affairs of the branch from 2021 to 2024.

The elections which was held at the Bayelsa Medical University auditorium was conducted under the watchful eyes of Eseiwi Osarobo and Anthony Iyasele who were national representatives sent to oversee the process.

Announcing the winners of the elections, the indefatigable AMLSN Electoral committee Chairman Nsikak Etim described the elections that ushered in the new brand of excos as exceptional, free, fair and transparent.

Swearing-in the newly elected AMLSN Bayelsa State Executives, a Legal Practitioner Bar. Robert Akpoyinbo advised the executives not to betray the trust reposed in them.

In her inaugural speech, the newly elected Chairman, MLS. Seleipre Hannah Richard expressed gratitude to all Medical Laboratory Scientists in the state for their peaceful disposition throughout the electioneering process.

 

Richard, a staff member with the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital and the first female Chairman of the branch promised to run an all inclusive government so as to bring the branch to a higher standard.

 

She called on all members to give the new executive the financial and professional support needed to succeed, stressing that she will deliver on her campaign promises.

While handing over, the outgoing Chairman, Dr. E.S Agoro applauded all for the overwhelming support accorded him while his administration lasted hinting that his administration wouldn’t have achieved much without the support of members.

 

Dr. Agoro, charged the newly elected officials not to rest on their oars but to consolidate on the gains of his administration.

On his part, the AMLSN 2nd National Vice President South South Eseiwi Osarobo appreciated Medical Laboratory Scientists in the state for being law-abiding and peaceful in their conduct. He charged the newly elected officials to ensure that everyone is carried along in the administration.

 

Similarly, the Director, Department of Medical Laboratory Services Bayelsa State Ministry of Health Fesei Morris has praised  Scientists in the state for their peaceful conduct. 

 

 He also congratulated all who emerged expressing belief in the ability of MLS Richard to take the branch to an enviable height in that she was the Vice Chairman in the outgone administration.
