AMLSN Honours Retirees With Valedictory Session

The leadership of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), Bayelsa State has organized a valedictory session to honour and celebrate members of the association who have retired from active service.

The valedictory session held at Meglam hotel was also the association’s end-of-year party.

Speaking at the valedictory session, the Director General Bayelsa State Agency for the Control of AIDS (BYSACA) Sct. Alex Ogregade and the Chairman Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria, Bayelsa State Branch Sct. (Dr). Egoro Eni-Yinimi took turns to eulogise and pour encomium on the retirees for their contributions towards the upliftment of the Medical Laboratory Science profession while they were in active service.

On their part, the Director of Medical Laboratory Services Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa, Sct. Ederi Solomon, and the Past Director Directorate of Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Services Hospitals Management Board Bayelsa State Archbishop (Sct) Sikpi also paid glowing tributes to the retirees for their outstanding service and wish them well in their future endeavors.

In their response, an immediate past Director of Directorate of Diagnostics and Rehabilitation Services, hospitals management board bayelsa state Sct. Kingsley obele on behalf of the retirees expressed appreciation to the association for the honour done them even as he recounted his contributions to see to the betterment of the profession while in active service.

He challenged young Medical laboratory scientists not to betray the confidence reposed in them and to carry out their duties diligently.

Among the retirees were Sct. Ghandi Ogbopuru and Sct.Kikile Jonathan both from Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa.

Highpoints of the occasion was presentation of gifts to the retirees and the best Medical Laboratory Scientist in the state.

The event was well attended by Medical Laboratory Scientists from different chapters.
