Students under the auspices of Bayelsa State Medical Laboratory Science Students (BYMELSSA) have congratulated Prof. Teddy Charles Adias on his recent appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke.

In a statement signed by its President Spiff Kelvin Victor, the Association noted with pleasure the various administrative positions Prof. Adias has held in the past including been Provost of Bayelsa State College of Health and Technology and the DVC of Federal University Otuoke and expressed belief for him to bring his wealth of wisdom and expert leadership qualities to bear on his present capacity.
Statement reads in part:
As a distinguished personality that has served in various administrative positions meritorious, in the past including the Provost of Bayelsa State College of Health and Technology and the DVC of Federal University Otuoke, your wealth of wisdom and expert leadership qualities are more than enough to merit you to this lofty position and it is well deserved.
The group prayed to God to give the new Vice Chancellor the grace to carry out his duties excellently and make the Federal University Otuoke a force to be reckoned with on the global stage.
It is worthy of note that Prof. Teddy Charles Adias is the first Bayelsan Medical Laboratory Scientist to become a Vice Chancellor of a University.
